Starting a day later than I intended for no good reason. Wasn’t hung over but my stomach wasn’t up to the trip. No big deal though, I got plenty done on Saturday.
Sunday started with a big breakfast and some television. I didn’t end up leaving until 11 am to Fred’s for juice, sandwich and coke, which I never did eat on the trip down. My last stop in Fairbanks was Alaska Coffee Roaster Company for my last free coffee.
Oh yeah, the trip.
It was raining from Fairbanks through Cantwell. Despite the thick fog from Fairbanks to Nenana, the trip was really pretty. After Cantwell the weather started to break and could see patches of blue everyone and again.
After several hours, I met up with my mother at Montana Creek. She had taken my sister’s dog, Amber, up through Hatchers pass before meeting up with me. I got some time to stretch my legs and walk the dog before getting back on the road again.
